It's Spring Break! Should we take a break???

Fun Spanish Activities homeschool lifestyle of learning schooling hacks

I mean, YES, you should take a break. The weather (here in Texas) is GORGEOUS, we just got another hour of sunlight added to our days, and burn out was on the horizon, right?

At the same time - when you RELAX, your absorption is SO MUCH HIGHER!
Here are some ways to take a break, but still "do Spanish." Each of the links is either a video, or a link to purchase the game.

1) Play charades in Spanish. (Choosing a theme or topic first helps!)

2) Play Smackit Racket: - you need three people. One person calls out one of the flash card words on the floor or table, the other two SMACK IT! The winner takes the card he/she smacked, and then becomes the caller. When you get down to one card, who ever has the most cards wins.

3) Get out a VERY easy board game... and play in Spanish! Hi-Ho Cherry-O, Guess Who, and Candyland, and Twister are all favorites.

4) Play "I spy" in Spanish. "Veo algo..." (I see something) allows you to practice adjectives, if you don't know a lot of nouns yet.

5) Play a favorite card game in Spanish... LIKE UNO or Spot it! (We have used Spot it many times on our Spanish Geniuses Game Day!)

Want more direction on how to do all this?

Subscribe to my newsletter. I'll send out a Spanish game lesson file for EACH game (and maybe a few more) FREE! on Thursday!
